Preparing for Internships
Welcome to Level 4 DAAD with Mrs. Pierce! For the first 3 weeks of class, you will be doing the following with the help of Mrs. Pierce:
- Preparing web portfolio of work samples
- Creating Linkedin Profile
- Creating Resume
- searching for internship sites
- reaching out/applying for internships
Once you obtain an internship, you will fill out the appropriate paperwork and begin traveling to your site every day.
Internships
Once students in level 4 obtain an internship, they will be expected to check in with Mrs. Pierce at 2:15 (beginning of 4th block) & leave for their internship site every day. Students are expected to work 2 hours per day at their internship site, with the exception of every other Friday, when they will be on campus with Mrs. Pierce.
Every other Friday when interns are in the classroom, students will turn in required paperwork, write a journal entry on their week at their work site, and review with Mrs. Pierce ways to improve their experience and/or performance at their work site.
Students will need to have transportation to and from their work site every day to be a part of this class.
Journal Entry About Internships
Students will be expected to write and talk about their experience at their internship site when they are on campus every other Friday.
